Prioritize only what is necessary
or what you can carry out every day with certainty.
Learn to delegate.
Don't torture yourself with what
you cannot accomplish.
Don't set great goals; just try to
reach "small goals".
Finally: you can learn techniques
to relax and do physical exercise.
I would also suggest some
static exercises that are very practical to overcome
stress:
Lie down on
the floor face up, arms stretched to the sides
with your palms up. Close your eyes. Breath in
for 2 seconds, breath out for 2 seconds. Repeat
this sequence 8-10 times.
Continue in
the same position. Cross your right ankle over
your left ankle. Breath in for 2 seconds, breath
out for 2 seconds. Repeat this sequence 8-10
times. Revert your ankles' position and repeat
the exercise 8-10 times.
Stay laying
down face up with your legs stretched. Bend your
knees with the sole of your feet to the floor
and place your heels as close to your buttocks
as possible. Breath in for 2 seconds, breath
out for 2 seconds. Repeat this sequence 8-10
times.
Sit on a chair
with your back straight and your hands over your
knees, your palms up. Breath in for 2 seconds,
breath out for 2 seconds. Repeat this sequence
8-10 times.
Still sitting,
get your hands next to each other with your palms
facing your chest, fingers stretched out. Try
to feel the energy that flows between both hands.
Breath in for 2 seconds and breath out for 2
seconds. Repeat this series 8-10 times.
If I could not solve my
problem with these exercises, could somebody help me?
Yes; if
such were the case it would be convenient for you to
consult a reliable professional. Nowadays, administering
adequate medication together with some kind of brief
therapy (transpersonal, cognitive, behavioral, Ericksonian
hypnosis, etc) is often considered helpful.
A competent professional, would certainly be able to
help you develop a new perspective to learn how to overcome
your problems.
